Pamela McGee was born in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Northern High School where she helped her team win two consecutive State Championships and compile a record of 75 – 0. She then went on to attend the University of Southern California helping the Trojans win two NCAA Championships (1983, 1984). After completing her college career, she helped the U.S. Women’s Olympic team win a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics. McGee then went on to win World Championships in Spain, Brazil, and the European Ronchetti Cup. In 1997 she was the second overall pick of the WNBA draft and played for two seasons before culminating her career by winning the 2003 WNBA title as a coach. McGee was the first WNBA player to have both a son (NBA) and a daughter (WNBA) play professional basketball. Pamela McGee was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012 and into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
