The Michigan Sports Hall of Fame Archives holds important items related to the history of the institution and its inductees from its establishment in 1955 to the present. From important artifacts and correspondence representing the members, to the preservation of documents that represent the organization itself, the Archives are an important part of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. The Archives, managed by our heritage partner Heritage Werks, are located in their secure, state-of-the-art facility. Environmental controls and a disaster preparedness plan ensure the collection is protected for generations to come.
A professional team of archivists, museum professionals, historians, researchers and educators care for the collection and allow it to be utilized for research and to support requests from inductee families and communities that wish to honor them and share their stories.
