Kiki Cuyler was born in Harrisville, Michigan and signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates spending his first few seasons between Pittsburgh and one of its minor league affiliates while beginning to establish himself as one of the best hitters in the game. His all-around play helped the Pittsburgh Pirates win the 1925 World Series where he finished second in league MVP voting. He was named an All-Star in 1934, won four stolen base titles and batted over .300 in ten of his eighteen seasons. During his career, Cuyler played 18 seasons with four teams batting .321 with 2,299 hits, 1,305 runs, 1065 RBI and 328 stolen bases. Kiki Cuyler was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968 and was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1963. He passed away on February 11, 1950 at 51 years of age.
