Jim Harbaugh

University of Michigan

In this final three seasons as head football coach at the University of Michigan, Harbaugh won consecutive Big Ten Championships and the 2023 National Championship, with a 15-0 record. In nine seasons coaching the Wolverines, he posted a record of 86-25.

Now the head coach of the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers, Harbaugh also made a Super Bowl appearance as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 and was the NFL’s Coach of the Year in 2011. He previously was the head coach at Stanford University and the University of San Diego, after two seasons as an assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders following his retirement from a 15-year, five-team NFL career. During eight years of his NFL career, he worked as a volunteer assistant coach at Western Kentucky University.

Spending most of his formative years in Ann Arbor, Harbaugh starred in the shadow of Michigan Stadium at quarterback for Pioneer High School before an All-American career at the University of Michigan where his record as starting quarterback was 21-3-1.
