Eugene Allen (Gene) Lipscomb

Gene Lipscomb was born in Uniontown, Alabama but moved to Detroit at the age of three and graduated from Miller High School. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams where he spent three seasons before being traded to the Baltimore Colts where he was a two-time All-Pro and helped the Colts to two World Championships. He finished out his career with a two-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gene Lipscomb passed away on May 10, 1963 at the age of 31 and was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.  He passed away on May 10, 1963 at 31 years of age.
